A Fhir Iomtha. A fhir iomtha an aosa téd, sirim ar Chríost do choimhéd; a moirt iomloisceach an fhuinn, a dhomblais-deoch ghuirt gathfuinn. Deithneas mall do mheoir thuisligh isí an ghrafuinn ghreannmhair-sin; tug a lighe mh'éga inn, a théda cridhe caorthainn. Cluinim uait, a hucht Mhuire, foghar garbh do ghlaodhuighe, i gcomhar an cheoil chridhe nach foghar eoin ainglidhe. Greannmhar an ghabháil dána an bhúirtheach ard arránda, do-ní tinn an uile fhear, a Mhuire is binn an bhéiceach. Fuaras uait, is nír iarr mé, naoi ndánta i ndiaidh a chéile; ba ghearr uam an deachmhodh dán mar nuall seanchon ar seachrán. Cuir a lán i gcluasaibh cáigh, is nár bheag dénamh tormáin; seinn do chura is cruaidh dochta, buail umha go harrochta. A fh.i.r.
