"armas, weapons": leg. amas, 84.184; (armas means only "coat of arms"). "buin-gheanmnuidhe, of modest foundation": leg. buaidh-dhéan- mhach (cf. the MS. reading), 156.28. "cannach, handsome": leg. eangach (cf. ms. "cangach," read "eangach"), 6.65. "coighill, a thought, secret": leg. coigil, sparing, 98.88. "cómhghluaireacht, united brightness" : leg. cómhghluaiseacht, 103z. "cuplaodhach, provided with a cupola": leg. cúplach, cúplaidh- each, lit. "coupled," 136.106, 156.27. "dioth-thochlaidhe, which cannot be dug down": leg. dí-thogh- laidhe, indestructibe, 102.171, 170.31. "eochar-ghairmeach, with noisy border": leg. eochair-ghorm, 106.232, 168.20. "fosach, washing": 160.76, 172.71, where for "umhail fosaigh": leg. umhalfhosaig, washing of feet. "gníomhachtach, active" : leg. gnímh-éachtach, of which this is merely an editorial "emendation," passim.
"iolchobhair, all kinds of help": leg. iolfhaobhar, 100.42. "iomchomairc, a farewell": leg. iomchomhairc, greeting en- quiry, passim. "iomghrása, manifold favour, grace": 76.37, wehre leg. um ghrása. "lúibh, a kind of game" : "i gcluaintibh lúibhe agus liathróide," 122.68, where "i gcleasaibh lúith agus liathróide" suggests itself as an obvious emendation. "muilceas, mulet, revenge": "muilcse," 112.33, where leg. "fá choinne m'uilc-se do dhéanamh," i.e., with a view to doing harm to me. "ór-dhorn, a golden hilt," leg. urdhorn (ordhorn), grasping-part, hilt, 6.66. "scait, the finest of the flax" (recte scoth): "sciath glaine," 20.21, where leg. the plural of some such compound adj as scoth- áluinn. "sith-ghnídheacht, doing lasting deeds": leg. (as in 162.133) síoguidheacht, enchantment, wizardry, 154.5. "tric-iomruadh, flickering around red," 130.12, and "tritheamh- ruadh, flickering red," 86.204: evident corruptions of a single word, probably treathan-ruadh.
