Sir, I send you a few Gaelic words which I have
always heard in this locality, and which you may use
as a supplemental list in Gaelic Journal if you wish.
Faithfully yours,

P. O'Carroll.

Cúithín, a fangle.
Cromán, a long-backed fellow, "a great dromán of
a man."
Drúnánaidhe, a lazy fellow.
Féirín, a mark (from a hurt) that is sure to stand.
Gádh, ní gádh but he said it, you need not wonder.
Gadarnálaidhe, a dragging, lazy fellow; -áltacht,
the work of a gadarnálaidhe.
Stámar, pride, haughtiness.
