Maghery = Machaire, a plain, if this be a place-
name.
Bahamanta, Bahamunta = Beatha meannta,
beatha mionnta, snipe-feeding-place.
Farranayatta = Fearann a' gheata, the field of
the gate.
Raheen = Ráithín, little rath.
Corrigatinoel of the Rock Meadow = Carraig a'
tionóil, the rock of the meeting or assembly.
Moneenachring = Móinín a'chroinn, the little
bog of the tree.
Terrywillin = Tír a' mhuilinn, mill-land, or Tír dhá
mhuileann, land of two mills (cf. Terryglass = Tír dhá
ghlas). As the Anglicised form ends in -n and not
in -ng, the latter is more likely.
Acra Monabogy = Acra Móna Bogaigh, the acre
of the softish turf, or soft-bog-turf acre.
Moinmead = Móin mheadha, mead-turf or bog.
Acra Bower = Acra Bodhar, deaf acre.
Farranacorrigeen = Fearann a' chairrgín, the
field of the little rock.
Farranahaslanwee = Fearann a' chaisleáin
bhuidhe, the field of the yellow castle.
Parkmore = Páirc Mhór, big pasture-field.
Farranateltoon = (?) Fearann a' tseiltiúin (?)
field of droppings (?) or spewy (?) field.
