Trí neithe nach iontaoibh:
Lá breágh ins a' gheimhre,
Saoghal duine chríona,
Nó focal duine mhóir gan sgríbhinn.

(It is a scathing comment on the doings of the
daoine móra (gentry) that such a saying as this should
have become a proverb. We hope it is a very old one
and that "time is changed." - Ed.)
